A walk through the Zoo
The zoological park, created in 1964, is a green space located on 3 hectares and sheltering more than 360 species of animals. So take advantage of your holiday in the Vendée to explore this fabulous world that you have always seen on television or in books. Please your family and children by taking them there. The place is totally secure and you will be in the care of the guides who will take you on a journey through this world where the residents are animals.
In this world you will have new friends and partners, who will certainly welcome you in a funny way. Some with grimaces, others with wild looks or even screams. This is what creates the atmosphere and the charm of this busy park. In fact, it is the second most visited site in the Vendée.
At the entrance, the Aviary of Oceania offers a very special welcome with the numerous birds occupying a 700 m2 space. A little further forward, the sakis and their young are also waiting to reassure you of the generosity of the park’s inhabitants. For their part, the meerkats welcome you with their magnificent enclosures lined with rocks and sand. If you are looking forward to listening to your parrot friends, you will not be able to ignore the colony of wild animals hidden in the beautiful vegetation : the jaguars, who do not think they will miss these wonderful moments. Then you can enjoy the atmosphere of your parrot friends.
The different activities in Les Sables d’Olonne
The park gives you the opportunity to share good moments with the animals through mealtime activities that correspond to the mealtimes of each species.
There is also a biodiversity festival where you can discover several types of plants. You can also take advantage of an exhibition on the theme “The Olonne forest, a coastal forest of protection”. The staff, who are determined to make your visit more enjoyable, offer you the Planet Attitude Goose game.
On site, keep a souvenir of your visit by buying some art and cultural objects in the park’s ethnic shop. Also take advantage of the snack bar, between April and mid-September, to taste the delights of the park.
