Camping d’Oléron: between land and sea

Situated on theisland of Oléron, not far from the famous château of the same name, our Oléron campsite welcomes you in the finest surroundings for your summer and winter vacations. Whatever your tastes, we’re sure your stay won’t be your last.

The island of Oléron is a natural wonder. Between its beaches, its oyster-farming port and its castle, considered to be the island’s “capital”, your days will be full. But the island of Oléron will also seduce you with its cultural richness, notably its market, festivals and local cuisine, whereoysters take pride of place.

Sports and leisure activities at our campsite

Water sports enthusiasts will be able to practice their favorite activities at ease, as the setting lends itself well to them. Activities include scuba diving, stand-up paddling (organized on the La Phibie lake), kayaking and surfing. Open to all age groups, these activities are supervised by some of the best professionals in France.

You can also enjoy leisure activities such as boating, taking a ride on the tourist train and stopping off at the oyster port. But sporting activities and leisure also extend to more common sports such as tennis, golf, archery and horse-riding. Nature-lovers will enjoy walking or cycling, with the added bonus of a visit to the Maison de la Nature, the fox, and the botanical garden.

La cabane des créateurs

Finally, the best of the island is the Cabane des Créateurs. This complex brings together some twenty artists and craftsmen. What’s special about this complex is that it’s housed in former oyster-farming huts.

This unexpected homogeneity between artists and oyster farmers is what makes the area so charming. You’ll also discover other artistic activities, some of them rather exotic, such as violin making, ceramics, illumination and sculpture, to name but a few.
