History of Saint-Julitte church<\/h2>

The full name of this Catholic church is: \u00c9glise Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte<\/strong>.\nHistory records that the building that currently houses this place of worship is the result of several construction campaigns.\nIts genesis dates back to antiquity, and its history is staggered over time.\nIt was at the beginning of the XII\u1d49 century that the parish was entrusted to the Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys abbey <\/strong>to establish a priory. <\/p>

If we go back a little further in history, it’s between the end of antiquity and the Romanesque period that the oratory was built on the site of the transept.\nAt that time, the church consisted of two quadrangular structures.\nIt should be noted that, despite the many reconstructions the building has undergone, notably those of the XVIII\u1d49 century, its west facade has remained as it was originally. <\/p><\/div><\/div>

The exterior of the Ambon<\/a> building features opus spicatum masonry on the transept and south transept.\nInside, the five-bay nave is entirely covered with timber framing.\nThe latter opens onto the aisles, which are supported by single-rolled, round-headed arches.\nThese arches are supported by square piers, available in bulk. <\/p>\n\n
