Accessible by car in less than 40 minutes<\/strong> from your Ker Yaoulet campsite, Carnac is a must-see site<\/strong> not to be missed during your stay in Brittany. The world-famous<\/strong> menhir alignments<\/strong> of Carnac are 7,000 years<\/strong> old.\n Thousands of megaliths<\/strong>, lined up in descending order of size over several kilometers<\/strong>, can be found at three main sites in Carnac: M\u00e9nec, Kermario and Kerlescan.\nThe alignments can be visited freely from October to March<\/strong>, and with a guide<\/strong> from April to September. <\/p>

The Carnac Prehistory Museum<\/strong> boasts a rich collection of archaeological artefacts<\/strong>.\nA large part of the museum is devoted to the Neolithic<\/strong> period and the questions still raised by the mysterious alignments<\/strong> of local megaliths.\nNumerous tumuli and dolmens<\/strong> can also be seen in the Carnac area: don’t miss the Moustoir<\/strong> or Saint-Michel tumuli<\/strong>, the Kercado dolmen<\/strong>, or the Mane Kerioned site<\/strong>, the ” mound of goblins<\/strong> ” housing three dolmens, one of which is semi-buried. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A charming seaside resort<\/h2>

A land whose imagination is nourished by history and legends<\/strong>, from druid ceremonies to Korrigans, Carnac is also a typical Breton village<\/strong> and an enchanting seaside resort<\/strong>.<\/p>

After your visit to the menhir alignments, discover one of Carnac’s five beaches<\/strong>: family-friendly, intimate, wild, each with its own character.\nIdeal for fishing<\/strong>, Beaumer beach is sheltered and shaded.\nTy Bihan beach offers an unobstructed view of Quiberon Bay<\/strong>. <\/p>

In summer, children’s activities<\/strong> are offered.\nThe large beach is appreciated for its south-facing<\/strong> aspect.\nSwimming is supervised in summer, and the beach is accessible to people with reduced mobility<\/strong>. <\/p>

Numerous bars, restaurants and small shops<\/strong> surround the site.\nCarnac also has a long tradition of oyster farming<\/strong>, which we invite you to discover at l’Anse du P\u00f4<\/strong>. <\/p>
